Another year has come and gone and we will soon welcome in 2020! It's an exciting time to be in the Town of Lexington. As we continue to grow, Council is working to make sure we stay focused on the goals and objectives set out in the Town's Vision Plan. Here's a look back and a look ahead to our future.
The lcehouse Amphitheater continues to be a downtown staple and is a key component to revitalizing the Main Street area. In 2019 the Amphitheater celebrated its third anniversary and since opening has held over 150 events with 94,000 attendees.
Work is set to begin soon at Gibson Pond Park to repair the dam destroyed during the historic flooding of 2015 after DHEC approved the permit this fall.
Following the completion of the One Way Pair on Highway 6 in January, traffic improvements were also made at Ginny Lane and Interstate 20. Additional Adaptive Signals linking 1-26 with 1-20 went live late this year and in 2020 the final adaptive signalization process is expected to be complete.

Don't forget there are quite a few events happening in Lexington in December including the Snowball Festival (details on back) and the Lexington Community Band's Winter Concert. The concert is Sunday, December 8 at 3pm at the Lexington One Performing Arts Center located at Lexington High School.
Council and I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
