The Lexington Community Band is celebrating its Fifth Season Anniversary by hosting their Winter Concert on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 7pm at Lexington School District One Performing Arts Center, located at Lexington High School (2643 Augusta Highway).
This year’s concert will feature Lexington One School Choruses from New Providence Elementary School, Red Bank Elementary School, and Midway Elementary School in a special holiday selection from “The Polar Express!!”
Additionally, the band will feature music from the movies Coco, Superman, Hook and Home Alone along with traditional selections of holiday, jazz and marching music.
The Lexington Community Band will also welcome a special guest conductor Dr. Cormac Cannon, who serves as the USC Director of the “Mighty Sound of the Southeast” Marching Band and USC Associate Director of Bands. There will also be a performance from Ms. Tammy Lorick, a retired music teacher from the Lexington One Schools!
The concert is free and open to the public! We hope to see you there for an evening of fun and exciting music as we usher in the holiday season!
