December 2013
First and foremost, I am excited to be sworn in as your Mayor on December 9, 2013 at our Council Meeting. My mission for the next four years is to ensure that we continue to progress our community in a respectful, responsible manner as to become the best in South Carolina.

November 2013
When Town Council and I embarked on our Vision Plan four years ago, we clearly saw the full potential we all knew our town was destined to become. Since then, we have implemented such projects as Lexington Square Park, the Main St. Business Façade Improvement Grant Program and completed the third season of our downtown Farmers Market!

October 2013
Over the past nine years as your Mayor, I have addressed citizens' questions on many issues regarding the town and educating the public of the differences between government agencies and their respective responsibilities. I would like to share some of those common "misconceptions" so that you may become better informed on the Town's responsibilities, limitations and parameters to governance.

September 2013
The Town of Lexington has seen tremendous growth since the turn of the century and our small town is now approaching 20,000 residents. With this fast-paced growth, we are faced with ongoing challenges to our ever growing traffic congestion. We are working diligently on several significant traffic projects help improve the flow of traffic and help reduce our vehicle congestion.

August 2013
Lexington is a wonderful community to live, work, worship and play and that is largely due to our outstanding public safety led by the Lexington Police Department.
-
July 2013
Each July, the Town of Lexington starts anew as we enter a new Fiscal Budget. The 2013/2014 FY will be an exciting time dedicated to the completion of several Vision Plan Projects. More importantly, we are able to provide quality of life initiatives such as Lexington Paw Park, the I-20/Sunset Blvd. Beautification Interchange and the Adaptive Computerized Signalization System without raising taxes.

June 2013
The Town of Lexington will open its 3rd Annual Farmers Market this month at 206 N. Church Street (the Old Shoebox building). It will operate every Saturday from 9am-1pm until October 26. We are proud to offer this community service to our citizens and to showcase local produce, nursery, food and artisan vendors.

May 2013
As our town and community continue to grow, so does the need to expand and upgrade our infrastructure system. We currently serve more than 13,000 customers through our water and sewer utilities and strive to provide the best service possible.
-
April 2013
Our town is growing beyond anyone's imagination, especially those of us who remember Lexington just a decade or two ago. The Town of Lexington was recently ranked fifth in the "Best Small Cities" annual list known as "In Search of Eden", published by Charles Anderson. Mr. Anderson travels across the southeast looking for special communities with charm and unique culture, something that is deeply engrained here in Lexington.

March 2013
As Mayor, I am proud of our Town and that our citizens fully engage themselves in community activities and take great pride in making Lexington a great place. If you are new to the community or are looking to become more involved, the Town has several ways for you to invest your time and talents.

February 2013
Since being elected to Council in 1994 and serving as your Mayor since 2004, I have always understood the number one concern and priority for Lexington has been traffic. The Town has grown by leaps and bounds, 83% since the 2000 Census, making us the fourth fastest growing municipality in South Carolina.

January 2013
The Town of Lexington had an accomplished 2012, to say the least, with securing several high profile economic development projects, including the announcement of Avtec, Inc. breaking ground on their new advanced manufacturing facility which will be the anchor of an new technology park on Glassmaster Rd., just off I-20.
