Traffic Committee
Established in 2004, the Town of Lexington 's Traffic Committee is comprised of traffic engineers, planners, professionals and citizens. The Committee is responsible for looking at traffic issues facing our growing community and making recommendations for reducing traffic problems.
Lexington Town Council has been moving forward with an overall traffic plan to improve in-town traffic flow for approximately 10-12 years, until major roadway improvements can be made in areas out-of-town. The Town's Traffic Committee is making extraordinary progress on improved safety and flow of traffic within local parameters of the Town's borders with such elements as intersection improvements, optimization of traffic light systems, and installation of GPS systems at master intersections.
