Lieutenant Carroll Bledsoe
The Criminal Investigations Division is managed by Lieutenant Carroll Bledsoe who supervises four Detectives, two Narcotics Agents and one Gang Intervention Officer.The Criminal Investigations Division (CID.) is tasked with following leads in criminal cases. The Criminal Investigations Division is available to respond at any time, day or night, to the needs of crime victims, or to the scene of any incident.
CID works to follow up on reports of criminal activity initially reported to our uniformed patrol officers. The Detectives then establish the elements of the crime as defined by state law, identify and apprehend the person responsible for the criminal act. The Investigations Division is also responsible for forensic examination of crime scenes along with the evaluation, collection of evidence, and the transport of fugitives from other jurisdictions. The Criminal Investigations Division plays an integral part in assisting the Solicitor's Office in the prosecution of cases.
