Responsibilities

Planning/Zoning
• Overseeing efforts to plan for and accommodate the Town's future growth
• Administering and enforcing land-use ordinances
• Walking residential and commercial development projects through the complete approval process, from annexation of the properties into the Town forward

Building
• Issuing building permits for residential and commercial construction projects
• Providing inspections of residential and commercial construction projects
• Issuing Certificates of Occupancy

Code Enforcement
• Business License Ordinance
• Sign Ordinance
• Storm Water Ordinance

Information Technology
• Handling a wide variety of technology projects in furtherance of the Town's services

GIS - Mapping
• Creating and maintaining land-use maps, such as the Zoning Ordinance
• Creating and maintain utilities maps

Maintenance
• Providing maintenance on Town Hall and other buildings owned by the Town of Lexington
• Setting up for and breaking down after special events in facilities owned by the Town of Lexington
