Crime Scene Investigator (CSI) – Sworn
Pay Grade 14 - Salary Range $42,034 - $58,847
Certified/Sworn, Bilingual and/or College Degree holders may be offered up to 3% over starting salary.
Under occasional supervision; thoroughly processes and investigates crime scenes, investigates crimes or suspected criminal activity in order to ensure enforcement of state and local laws relating to public safety and welfare, and to performs related law enforcement work as required. Works under stressful, high-risk conditions. Performs related work as assigned. Reports to the Detective Corporals. A copy of the full job description is available upon request.
Minimum Qualifications Include:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a full-time crime scene investigator preferably with a large agency.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must possess a valid state driver's license.
Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in Forensics or related science preferred.
Must be in good health and able to meet the Lexington Police Department's physical fitness requirements.
Must be of good character with no criminal record.
