The Town of Lexington is accepting applications for the position of Traffic Signal Technician. Under limited supervision, performs tasks associated with the maintenance of streets, sidewalks, traffic signs, and traffic signals for the Transportation Department. Duties include, but not limited to, implementing streets and traffic signal activities to provide for the safe and efficient movement of vehicle and pedestrian traffic through town, monitors and maintains sufficient street and traffic signal material and equipment inventory and replenishes supplies as needed.

Position requires a High School Diploma supplemented by a minimum of 5 years of progressive responsibility in traffic signal development, installation and maintenance or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Position requires certification from International Municipal Signal Association – Level II technician as a minimum. Applicant must possess a valid South Carolina driver's license.
