Town of Lexington Celebrates SC Arbor Day with Tree Planting at Palmetto Collegiate Institute
The Town of Lexington celebrated South Carolina Arbor Day today, Friday, December 2 with a tree planting at the historic Palmetto Collegiate Institute.
Mayor Randy Halfacre and staff from the Parks, Streets and Sanitation Department planted a Red Oak at one of our most treasured parks.
South Carolina Arbor Day has been held annually on the first Friday of December since 1934 and helps mark the beginning of planting season in the Palmetto State.
