If you received a ticket and the officer told you to show proof of insurance, ownership or current registration you will need to bring that proof to the Clerk of Court's office at 111 Maiden Lane before the day of court . We must receive that proof no later than the day before your scheduled court date. No proof will be accepted the day of court except in the courtroom at your scheduled court time, you will have to appear in court to show proof to the Judge..

JURY TRIALS:

To request a jury trial you will need to come to the Clerk of Court's office before the day of court to fill out the proper paperwork or we must receive a letter from your attorney before the day of court. If you still want a jury trial and have not done the paperwork you must come to your scheduled court date and time to request it in front of the Judge.

CONTINUANCE REQUEST:

All requests for continuances must be in writing and received by the Town of Lexington Municipal Court prior to the scheduled court date. Requests should include a copy of your ticket, name and current mailing address and reason for continuance. Please hand deliver all request to Town of Lexington Clerk of Court, 111 Maiden Lane , Lexington , SC 29072 . There will be NO continuances granted the week of your scheduled court date.
