December 2015

Town Council, staff and I are excited to present the fourth annual Snowball Festival December 4 - 6, 2015.

The three-day event begins Friday night (6:00pm - 8:00pm) with a Concert, Carnival and Tree Lighting at Lexington Square Park featuring balloon animals, face painting, magic shows, caricature artist, craft corner, hot cocoa and s 'mores station, live music by Tara Scheyer and the Mud Puppy Band and of course, visits with Santa.

On Saturday morning put on your running shoes for the Warm a Heart 5K and 10K race, benefiting PattyPacks, a 501c3 assisting families with congenital heart disease. That evening, join us at Lexington Square Park from 5:00pm - 8:00pm for an outdoor showing of The Santa Clause (97 minutes - PG). Make sure to pack your blankets and snacks for this family, friendly event.

Finally, we wrap of the weekend with the annual Christmas Parade along Main St. on Sunday, starting at 3:30pm. It is a wonderful way to conclude the weekend's festivities.

Once again, we are honored to usher in the holiday season with this signature event and showcase our great community and collaboration with the Lexington County Recreation and Aging Commission and Lexington Jaycees.

I look forward to seeing everyone at the Snowball Festival. I hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
