December 2013

First and foremost, I am excited to be sworn in as your Mayor on December 9, 2013 at our Council Meeting. My mission for the next four years is to ensure that we continue to progress our community in a respectful, responsible manner as to become the best in South Carolina.

Since I arrived to Town Council in 2011, I have seen our Vision Plan take flight and I am honored to be able to serve as your Mayor as we continue to implement these critical projects. Our roadmap for future development has already produced several successful projects including Lexington Square Park, Downtown Commercial Facade Program, the Snowball Festival and the newly opened Lexington Paw Park. These efforts are in tremendous part to our residents speaking loud and clear on how we can best provide the highest quality of life in Lexington!

I am excited to oversee the leadership that will see additional projects come to fruition in 2014 and beyond. Key projects include the I-20/Sunset Blvd. Interchange Beautification Project, 14 Mile Creek Trail, Adaptive Computerized Signalization System and our premiere venture, Project Icehouse which will include a downtown plaza and amphitheatre.

All the projects will set the "wheels in motion" in enhancing the Town of Lexington and showcase all we have to offer to you, our residents, the business community and visitors. Through these avenues, we can ensure enhanced economic development projects, less traffic burdens and recreation for all to enjoy.

I am ready to hit the ground running and look forward to continuing to work with my fellow Council Members to transform our goals into actions and show proven results to these wonderful ideas. I was raised in Lexington and have seen our community explode with growth and am honored to lead the Town as we build for our future.

I look forward to seeing everyone at the Snowball Festival. I hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas!
