September 2011

As our children get back into the swing of a new school year, we adults get to relish in the ONE holiday that shows appreciation for the work we perform day-in and day-out, Labor Day!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our Town staff for the wonderful job they do in keeping our Town a place where our citizens want to live, work, play and learn.

Whether it is the Police Department keeping our streets safe or overseeing our K.E.Y.S. program (Keeping Every Youth Safe); our Parks, Streets and Sanitation Department maintaining our wonderful recreation sites or removing debris from streets and neighborhoods during storms; our Finance Department working diligently to ensure that for more than 25 years the Town has had a NO tax increase and maintains a AA+ credit rating; our Utilities Department using the latest technology to provide quality water and sewer services; or the Planning, Building and Technology Department, helping new businesses open or inspecting buildings to ensure safety, the Town is working hard for you, day-in and day-out.

The Town will be conducting a customer satisfaction survey in the future in hopes to improve on our existing customer service, allowing staff to provide the most efficient and effective service to our citizens and businesses.

Finally, Council, staff and I would like to wish everyone a wonderful, healthy and productive school year!
