The Lexington Police Department will once again partner with the United States Marine Corps for the "Toys for Tots" Campaign. The department serves as a collection site for new, unwrapped toys. Help us once again "Fill the MRAP" and bring smiles to area children and make their Christmas morning special. The Police Department will also be on site throughout the community accepting donations.

Council, staff and I are excited to announce, the Town of Lexington will host a Ribbon Cutting for the Project Icehouse Amphitheater on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 10AM at 107 W. Main Street.

With another school year in session, the Lexington Police Department is working hard to educate citizens on proper School Zone Safety. Officers are monitoring traffic within the school zones and focused on educating and directing parents and guardians to the proper drop off, pickup and parking areas when traveling on and off of school campuses.

In an effort to improve traffic flow throughout downtown, the Town of Lexington is in the process of converting SC 6 (North/South Lake Drive) and North/South Church Street into one-way street operation and upgrading the intersection of East Main Street (US 1) at Harmon Street and Martel Drive.

I am excited to announce The Town of Lexington will once again be on the national stage for baseball! The Lexington County Recreation and Aging Commission will host The 2016 Big South Baseball Championship at Lexington County Stadium May 24 - 28, 2016.

The Town of Lexington is excited to welcome a new event, and hopefully a new tradition, in the community. The Lexington County Blowfish will host the inaugural St. Patrick's Day Parade on Saturday, March 12 at 2pm in downtown Lexington.
